Last Saturday (4.12.2016) on Yangpu district a project started to improve the selection of high-quality education for expat children. This project is to construct new German and French schools for the rising demand.

The new campus is supported by both of the French and German governments as well as the local government of Yangpu district. According to Ralph Koppitz, the chairman of the board of the school tells us that the new school is expected to be held 2000 German- and French-speaking children and offers services from kindergarten through high school. He states that the new Campus is expected to be operational in 2018 and the annual tuition fee is expected to be about 140,000 yuan (US$20,440). This investment is not a surprise for many citizens because Shanghai is the biggest investment destination in China for over 2,000 German and French companies.
